Established in 1990 by the Reserve Bank and a group of Australia’s leading banks, the Foundation is singularly focused on raising funds for research into child health issues.
From simple beginnings as a lunch between four friends, the support of individuals and companies from across Australia has helped the Enchanted Ball grow into one of Australia’s largest fundraising nights.

Since its inception, the Financial Markets Foundation for Children has raised more than $16.2 million and distributed these funds to more than 200 research projects. This includes projects into development pathways of children with autism, children’s mental health work and peanut allergies.
